HISTORY (Continued)
Coach #77 was rebuilt by the C&S in
1915 and probably then given the
bullnose profile roof
if it hadn’t been already. In 1928, with service declining and a number of other cars being
dismantled, plans were made to convert coach #77 to a coach-baggage-mail car,
but for some reason this was not implemented.
In the spring of 1938 coach #77 was one of the
cars stripped down and equipped as bunk cars for the Platt Rogers, Inc.
firm that dismantled the line from Climax to Waterton. It was dismantled in 1939 and
the body sold.

We are unaware of any plans or
drawings for coach #4. The
John Maxwell Collection offers a plan for the proposed
combination coach-baggage-mail car. It is their plan MC-171.
