Reservation Policies

All reservations for coach, caboose, cab rides, and dining trains must be secured by a credit card, cashier’s check, personal check, or money order. All personal checks must clear all banks before the reservation is final.

Group Reservations

All coach class group trains (20+ people) operated for a group that occurs outside of Mid-Continent’s published train ride schedule or during one of Mid-Continent’s special event dates must pay a non-refundable 25% deposit of the total ticket price a minimum of 14 days prior to the event date. The balance is due prior to the train departure. All groups shall be entitled to a coach pass for the tour leader and bus driver.

All group bookings (20+ people) on Beverage, Dining and Special Event trains must pay a non-refundable 25% deposit of the total ticket price of the group in advance of any seats being blocked out for said group. 14 days prior to the event the group must complete the payment of the balance of the group reservation as it exists on that date.


Cancellation Policies

Museum Admission Tickets

Unused museum admission reservations may be canceled for a full cash refund, moved to another day, or converted to a gift card. The request must be received by the time of the final train departure on the day the ticket is valid.

Coach, Caboose, and Cab Ride Tickets (Excluding Special Events)

Tickets may be canceled up to 24 hours before the published departure time for a full refund. Within 24 hours of the published departure time, no cash refunds are offered. Tickets may be converted to a gift card up until 2 hours before departure.

Snack/Beverage Trains, Dining Trains, and Special Event Tickets

Beverage Dining, and Special Event train reservations may be canceled up to 14 days before the event and a refund of the reservation will be given minus a processing and handling fee of 25% of the ticket price. Tickets may be converted to a gift card up to 14 days before the event with no processing fee deducted. Booking convenience fees are non-refundable.

Within 14 days of the event and if the dining train is sold out or becomes sold out during that time period, Mid-Continent will attempt to resell the reservation. If successful in reselling the reservation, a refund of the reservation will be given minus a processing and handling fee of 25% of the ticket price. Tickets may be converted to a gift card within 14 days of the event with no processing fee deducted. Booking convenience fees are non-refundable.
