Last Pre-Restoration Outdoor photos of MLS&W #63

April 2001

On April 28, 2001, MLS&W #63 was pulled from its storage space of ten years and moved to the restoration area of Mid-Continent’s Car Shop building. This was a landmark day as it was the first time the car had been seen in full daylight in over ten years, and was the last time it would be outside before its restoration is completed. This provided a last opportunity to photograph the car in natural daylight. In several views, Project Manager Glenn Guerra documents the woodwork and paint samplings inside the car.
